JMJ is credited as the founder of the school. I am certain that every DJ needs non stop training due to all the new software and equipment that is released. It's no longer as simple as buying turntables and records. The wide variety of equipment can only make it more challenging to the DJ. This is where a school like Scratch Academy comes into play. You can take the entire course or just the ones you need. They offer private lessons to show you how to use specific equipment as well as classes for Serato and Traktor. There are three locations New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. You can even become a member and just go practice on their equipment! What better reason can you find to go on vacation and go home a better DJ? They give tours, open house, and the website has very detailed information to help you decide if it is right for you.
